- 8 प्रमुख अवसंरचना सहयोगी उद्योगों को कोर उद्योग कहा जाता है। (8 Major infrastructure supporting industries are called core industries)
- कोर उद्योग ऐसे उद्योग होते हैं जिनके विकास से अन्य उद्योगों का विकास होता है। (These are industries whose development leads to the development of other industries)
- औद्योगिक उत्पादन सूचकांक (IIP) में कोर उद्योगों का भारांश 40.27% या 40.30% है। (The Weightage of these industries in the IIP index is 40.27 % or 40.30%)
